第十二屆校際香港歷史文化專題研習比賽 The 12th Inter-school Competition of Project Learning on Hong Kong's History and Culture

五位中三同學於上學年參與第十二屆校際香港歷史文化專題研習比賽，並以「從藍田盂蘭勝會看香港潮籍社群的傳統

與發展」為題完成報告，取得第四名佳績。研習過程中，同學花大量時間搜尋和閱讀歷史書、學術論文、舊報紙和政府檔案，並訪問了數位本地潮籍社群領袖以獲取更多一手資料。參賽經歷不但提升同學對傳統文化的認識，亦改善了同學間溝通、協作和以英文書寫學術報告的能力。

Five students from Form 3 joined the 12th Inter-school Competition of Project Learning on Hong Kong's History and Culture last school year. They worked on the project titled 'Lam Tin Ghost Festival Celebrations (Yu Lan Festival) – Traditions and Continuous Development of the Teochew Community in Hong Kong' and got the fourth place. During the process, they searched for and read a lot of history books, academic journal articles, newspapers published decades ago and government records. They also interviewed a few people to gather more primary sources about the Teochew community, especially the ""gaa gi laang"" in the Lam Tin neighbourhood. This experience not only aroused the students' interest in knowing more about the preservation of traditional culture, but also improved the communication, collaboration and writing skills of them.
